HCDI is attending DEFEA 2025!

The Hellenic Centre of Defence Innovation will be participating in the 3rd edition of the international defence and security exhibition, DEFEA – Defence Exhibition Athens, taking place from May 6 to 8, 2025, at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens, reinforcing our commitment to fostering dialogue and collaboration around defence innovation and dual-use technologies. Our participation is part of a broader strategy to develop and strengthen the ecosystem through networking, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of dynamic initiatives.

Where to Find Us

Visitors can find us at HCDI Hall 3, Booth C16, where they will have the opportunity to learn more about our initiatives, explore available funding tools, and discover how we enable innovation, enterpreneurship, and international appeal. Our booth will serve as a meeting point for organizations, companies, and creators seeking to connect, collaborate, and grow.

Additionally, HCDI invites you to a special event co-organized with METEX at DEFEA, titled: “Challenges in Spinning Off Dual Use Research”, taking place on May 8, 2025, from 12:00 to 14:00, at the DEFEA Academy (Hall 3). This event aims to highlight the challenges researchers face in transferring their innovations from the lab to the market through the creation and development of spin-off companies. Despite the high quality and innovative nature of research produced in Greek universities and research centers, the path to commercialization remains demanding. The event aspires to contribute to a meaningful dialogue on improving the conditions for the establishment and sustainability of research spin-offs in Greece. The even will feature:
